Expect a night that goes deeper into tradition: less spooky, more corazón, featuring characters drawn from Mexican folklore and the afterlife. La Catrina, La Bruja and El Charro de la Muerte. Faces painted, staff transformed and figures roaming between the tables as the casas fill with photographs, altars and reminders of those who came before us.
Put your costume on and arrive early between 6pm to 9pm to receive a complimentary Margarita Sangrienta, while the best dressed at each venue takes home IDR 10 million cash. Face painting runs from early hours on a first-come, first-served basis to get you ready for the fiesta. If you’re in it to win it, come early.
The kitchen joins the ritual with Día de los Muertos specials, highlighting Flor de Calabaza Rellena with prawns, chorizo and adobo negro; Los Pollos Hermanos with pipian rojo and encurtidos; and traditional Pan de Muerto served with hot chocolate.
As dinner turns into fiesta, the music rises and the night gets louder.
